Nonprofit opioid safety program

What a program is, and is not

IntellaRx is not a clinic, a pharmacy, a software product or a consultancy. The distinctions are not pedantic — they determine who is responsible for what.

People place IntellaRx in whichever category they know best, and each guess creates a wrong expectation. So, plainly:

Is IntellaRx a clinic or treatment program?

IntellaRx does not diagnose or treat, and has no clinician-patient relationship with anyone. Clinical care within a program engagement is delivered by licensed clinicians who carry their own obligations. If you are a patient and you found this site looking for treatment, the right next step is your own clinician.

Does IntellaRx prescribe or dispense medication?

IntellaRx does not dispense. Delivery operates in partnership with licensed pharmacies, which hold the licenses and the responsibility that goes with them. IntellaRx does not prescribe either.

Not a software product

There are components with software in them, but you cannot buy a login. The program is a set of services, partnerships and clinical processes configured for a population, and most of the work in a deployment is not technical.

Not a consultancy

The output is not a report. It is a program that runs, delivers components to a defined population, and gets measured against outcomes agreed in advance — including the ones that would show it failing.

Not a legal adviser

IntellaRx does not determine which confidentiality or records regimes apply to any organization. It describes what data the program touches, precisely enough for that organization’s counsel to make the determination.

What is IntellaRx?

A nonprofit division of Sevadar Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity, whose customer is a public agency, and whose two functions are supplying clinical context and closing the identification gap. Everything else in the program exists to make those two work in a real population.

Frequently asked questions

Who does IntellaRx work for?

A public agency. IntellaRx is a nonprofit division of Sevadar Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity, and its customer is the agency, not an individual. Inside a program it does two things: it supplies clinical context and it closes the identification gap. Everything else in the program exists to make those two work in a real population.

How is a program different from software or a consultancy?

You cannot buy a login, and the output is not a report. A program is a set of services, partnerships and clinical processes configured for one population, and most of the work in a deployment is not technical. It runs, delivers components to a defined population, and is measured against outcomes agreed in advance, including the ones that would show it failing.

Who decides which privacy rules apply to an agency’s data?

The agency’s own counsel. IntellaRx does not determine which confidentiality or records regimes apply to any organization, and it does not act as a legal adviser. What it does is describe exactly what data the program touches, precisely enough for that organization’s lawyers to make the determination themselves.
